Anna María Tejada, Esq. is Of Counsel at Kaufman, Dolowich, Voluck & Gonzo LLP in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she concentrates in the areas of Employment Practices Liability, Labor and Employment Law on behalf of management, Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Liability, and Education Law. Ms. Tejada represents employers, attorneys, school boards, parents and municipalities in state and federal courts as well as in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Division on Civil Rights and the Office of Administrative Law. Prior to joining KDVG, Anna practiced at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., where she focused her practice on representing school boards in the areas of labor, employment, special education and general education-related matters. Anna served as an Equal Justice Works Fellow for the Education Law Center where she assisted in the enforcement proceedings of the landmark decisions of Abbott v. Burke. Anna is especially proud of serving as an Appellate Clerk for the Honorable John E. Wallace, Jr., now retired, from the Supreme Court of New Jersey from 1999 -2000.

Anna co-authored the IDEA 2004 Guidebook, A Comprehensive Guide to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act. Anna is the HNBA Regional President for Region III (New Jersey). She is excited to be a participant of the HNBA’s Executive Leadership Program, a pilot program in collaboration with the Association for Corporate Counsel. She also serves on the Board of the Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE) PAC.

Anna is a proud MSP graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where she obtained her J.D. in 1999. She is also a proud EOF graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick in 1996.
