Carmen Mendiola, Esq.

Trustee at Large

Carmen Mendiola, Esq., was born in Cuba and immigrated to the Unites States at age 9. She went on to receive B.A. from Jersey City University and obtained her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. After graduation she clerked for the Honorable Kenneth MacKenzie, Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County, Chancery Division. She also worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Jersey City for over 10 years where she specialized in Bankruptcy litigation. She currently has her own private practice in Jersey City where she specializes in Ch. 7 & 13 Bankruptcy, Immigration and Workman’s Compensation law. In 1994, the Governor of New Jersey appointed her to serve as a board member to the Cuban Task Force where she continues to be an active member. Carmen currently serves as Vice-President to the WAARFA organization (Women Acknowledged and Recognized for their Achievements). She is also the co-owner of a restaurant named Hard Grove Café located in Jersey City, New Jersey.
