Geida D. Sanlate, Esq. is an associate at Littler Mendelson, P.C., in Newark, New Jersey where she represents and counsels employers in connection with all types of labor and employment matters arising under federal and state law. Geida received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, and her B.A. in psychology and Spanish literature from Brooklyn College.
Prior to joining Littler, Geida served as a law clerk for the Hon. Richard W. English, J.S.C. While in law school, Geida served as an intern for the Hon. Jose L. Linares, U.S.D.J., the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the New Jersey State Attorney General’s Office, Division of Law; participated as a student attorney in Rutgers’s Federal Tax Clinic; served as an editor forthe Rutgers Business Law Journal; and held various leadership roles within the Association of Latin American Law Students and the Christian Legal Society.
Prior to attending law school, Geida gained extensive experience representing clients in immigration-related proceedings. Geida is a published author and a frequent writer on cutting edge employment-related issues. She also regularly speaks on legislative developments affecting the employment relationship and organizes seminars pro bono on issues impacting the Hispanic community.
Geida is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association.
