Jose I. Bastarrika, Esq., is a partner at the firm of Bastarrika, Guzman, Soto & Gonzalez, LLP in Paterson and Hackensack, New Jersey. Specializing in the area of family law, Jose has been a court-appointed expert and guardian ad litem in complex child custody, child abuse and neglect actions. Jose received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. Prior to starting his own practice, Jose served as a law clerk to the Hon. Nestor F. Guzman, Sr., Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division. Jose was selected by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as Section Chair of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and Passaic County Bar. Jose has appeared as a legal commentator on Court TV (Banfield & Ford Show) and Univision (41 A Tu Lado).
