Michael J. Plata, Esq., is a partner at LeClairRyan in Newark, New Jersey, where he focuses his practice in environmental, hazardous waste, complex commercial and employment litigation. Prior to joining LeClairRyan, Michael worked as an associate at Lum, Danzis, Drasco & Positan, LLC. Michael received his B.S. in Political Science and Criminology from Florida State University and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. Michael served as a law clerk to the Hon. Ariel Rodriguez of the Appellate Division and the Hon. John E. Wallace, Jr., Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and Essex County Bar Association.
