Bill Ferreira, Esq. is a founding partner of the Ferreira & Herbert Law Group, LLC, and is Of Counsel to Rivera & Colon, LLP. Prior to forming the Firm, Mr. Ferreira was in private practice as a sole practitioner. He has served as a law clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Part for the Honorable Donald R. Venezia, J.S.C.
Mr. Ferreira focuses his practice in the areas of business law and general commercial litigation, real estate law, estates & trusts, criminal defense, municipal law, and international law with contacts throughout the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Ferreira worked as a licensed real estate broker in Florida where he represented primarily financial institutions in their acquisition and disposal of REO and foreclosure properties.
Mr. Ferreira is a graduate of Barry University (magna cum laude) and Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Ferreira was competitively selected as a member of the Moot Court Board and the Civil Litigation Clinic.
Mr. Ferreira is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA), the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBANJ), and the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA).
He currently holds seats on numerous executive boards, committees, and appointed positions within these various bar associations on both a regional and nationwide level. Mr. Ferreira also serves as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Municipal Practice Committee, and will soon be taking a seat on the American Bar Association’s Board of Governors.
Mr. Ferreira is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and the Federal Courts.
