Chief Litigation Counsel For Aviation in Cincinnati
GE Aviation, with $15 billion in revenues and 30,000 employees, is the world’s largest producer of engines for commercial and military planes and it is one of GE’s most important divisions.
The successful candidate is likely to have 10 to 15+ years of litigation experience in a large law firm combined with experience as an Assistant Attorney General or an Assistant US Attorney or elsewhere within the DOJ (at least 8 years of experience with civil or white collar criminal litigation practices in state and federal courts; and at least 3 years of experience in commercial and products liability litigation). Responsibilities for this position include:
- Providing leadership and counsel in support of internal investigations, dispute resolution and litigation, compliance training, contract and document review, product liability, and some employment matters, .
- Coordinating internal compliance investigations.
- Coordinating litigation management including the use of outside counsel.
- Providing risk assessment advice to GE operating management.
- Leading several direct report attorneys and appropriate outside counsel in support of litigation and/or compliance activities.
- Coordinating proactive and preventative legal training and document review.
Compensation will be competitive and will include a base salary and a bonus.
