Miguel Alexander Pozo Named Member at Lowenstein Sandler

On January 1, 2007 Miguel Alexander Pozo, Esq. became a Member of the firm in the Litigation Department of Lowenstein Sandler. Mr. Pozo represents corporations and businesses in a broad range of federal and state court litigation matters.

His experience includes mediation, arbitration, and trials. Most recently, Mr. Pozo has counseled clients in litigation involving business torts, contract actions, and class actions. He has litigated complex lease disputes and counseled clients on all aspects of the commercial landlord/tenant relationship. Mr. Pozo has also counseled employers on various aspects of the employer/employee relationship and has litigated discrimination, wrongful termination, and related matters on behalf of management.

In addition to being actively involved in the firm’s pro bono efforts, Mr. Pozo has volunteered his time to the Alan V. Lowenstein Public Interest Fellowship. Through the Fellowship, Lowenstein Sandler assists Essex-Newark Legal Services (ENLS) in providing free legal representation to low-income residents of Essex County, New Jersey.

Mr. Pozo is affiliated, both past and present, with various national and regional associations. He has served as Membership Secretary and Trustee for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. Currently, Mr. Pozo serves on the Board of Governors for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) as the Deputy President for Region III (NJ).

In August 2005, the New Jersey Law Journal (NJLJ) named Mr. Pozo among 50 “Minorities and Women” making significant contributions to the New Jersey legal community. The NJLJ recognized him for his outstanding achievements and called him a “rising star.”

Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Mr. Pozo served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence M. Lawson (Assignment Judge), Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County. Mr. Pozo received his B.A. from Hofstra University, where he was a Dean’s List scholar. He received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor for the Rutgers Race and the Law Review.
