Press Release
The Hispanic Bar Association — the voice of New Jersey’s Hispanic legal community — applauds the appointment of John Vazquez to First Assistant Attorney General.
The HBANJ commends Attorney General Anne Milgram on her decision to appoint John Vazquez – an exceptionally talented lawyer – as the State’s new First Assistant Attorney General. Mr. Vazquez, who has distinguished himself as a former Assistant United States Attorney, has shown that he has the experience and leadership skills necessary to perform his new duties.
The HBANJ is particularly proud of Mr. Vazquez — a long time member of the HBANJ and his leadership in the Hispanic legal community. We are also pleased that with this appointment, Attorney General Milgram has reaffirmed her commitment to promoting diversity in the Attorney General’s office.
For nearly 30 years, the HBANJ has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for diverse attorneys and for Hispanic attorneys in particular. Our purpose is to serve the public interest. We aim to advance the standing of the legal profession by setting and maintaining the highest standards of integrity, honor, and professional courtesy among our members, the Hispanic legal community, and the State of New Jersey at large.
