Child Advocacy and Immigrant Justice Clinics

Rutgers Law School seeks an experienced bilingual immigration paralegal for a project providing immigration legal services to children in New Jersey's foster care system.  The paralegal will (1) prioritize and assign cases referred for intake, including conducting initial fact gathering and scheduling appointments; (2) track cases and outcomes; and (3) assist attorneys with other case related tasks as needed.  Under the supervision of the project staff attorneys and clinical law professors, the paralegal will also carry his or her own case load of clients eligible for affirmative immigration benefits such as Naturalization and Certificates of Citizenship. The position could be based at either the Camden or Newark locations of Rutgers Law School, however travel to the other campus will be required (with gas and tolls reimbursed).  To apply, go to this link.
