Jose Calves, Esq.
Jose A. Calves is an Associate at Parker McCay P.A. in Mount Laurel. Jose concentrates his practice on government representation and litigation, dealing with issues such as redevelopment, public contracting, liquor licenses, and civil rights litigation. Prior to joining Parker McCay, Jose served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Marie E. Lihotz, (Retired) Presiding Judge, Appellate Division, New Jersey Superior Court. Jose is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Jose received dual bachelor’s degrees in education and history from Rowan University before graduating from The George Washington University Law School in 2016. During law school, Jose received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his Pro Bono work and interned for the General Counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, and the Governor's Counsel Office.
Jose is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Burlington and Camden County Bar Associations, and the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys. Jose stays involved in his community by volunteering with DeMolay International, a Masonic Youth Organization, and being active in his church.
