The Compliance Associate will assist the department in its core functions, which include Federal and State aggregate spend reporting, training, drafting guidelines and compliance communications, vendor management, and auditing and monitoring. In addition, this position will assist the Compliance and Legal teams with certain clerical duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assess and monitor the compliance of promotion and/or non-promotional business activities within the U.S., including conducting live monitoring, transactional reviews and audits.
  • Assist in the record review processes for transactional monitoring and auditing activities, including collaborating cross-functionally to identify and gather relevant supporting records, conducting records review to assess compliance with policies/procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Serve as a compliance knowledge resource on internal processes, policies and procedures relevant to identified areas of monitoring and auditing.
  • Accurately and completely document monitoring/auditing results and findings, gather supporting information, perform analyses and prepare presentations to be used for communication to department colleagues and relevant stakeholders.
  • Track remediation of any monitoring/auditing findings and related follow up activities.
  • Assist in the development of processes, policies and standard operating procedures to be used across the company relating to Compliance audit and monitoring.
  • Work with compliance personnel responsible for monitoring, auditing, and investigations to ensure that any allegation or identified violation of company policy is properly investigated, remediation taken, and monitor controls established to prevent future instances.
  • Other ad hoc analysis / projects as deemed appropriate.
  • Assist the Legal Department as needed.
  • Will be expected to either be a State Notary of the Public or to qualify as one within six months of the start date of the job.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree from accredited college or university
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a compliance environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biologic industry preferred but not required.
  • Previous auditing and monitoring experience or education preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel skills a must.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy, keen attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment within multi-project and multi-product manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated research skills.
