Job Description

MSB has a growing tax practice that focuses on structuring Federal, state and local tax incentive financing such as Low Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and tax-exempt financing.  MSB’s tax practice is unique, cutting edge and multifaceted. Our work consists of structuring and implementing multimillion and multiphase financings for projects such as Teachers Village located in Newark, New Jersey, that help clients leverage both public and private sources of funding.  As a result, we are the premiere New Jersey based firm focused on the syndication of tax credits and tax-exempt financing.

We are a close-knit group that work hard, laugh often, and are well known for the high quality of our work.  We are looking for an associate to join our group and be part of our future.  We are only seeking candidates who are truly interested in growing in this field.


  • 2-4 years of law firm experience with an interest, and preferably experience, in Taxation.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong research, analytical and writing skills.  
  • Candidates must be self-starters, but must also be willing to work in a team environment and have good communication skills. 
  • Experience in a law school tax clinic, tax course work, prior experience with the IRS or Tax Court, or LL.M. degree are a plus.
