  Join us for a as we help prepare a meal service at Cathedral Kitchen. They serve an average of 325 guests each day, six days a week.

  VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES AND DRESS CODE

  Long pants or capris are preferred

  You may wear shorts or a skirt – BOTH SHORTS AND SKIRTS MUST BE AT LEAST KNEE LENGTH

  Tops that cover from the neck down to the legs and upper arms (NO SHORT TOPS, TANK TOPS, CAMIS, SCOOP OR V-NECK, OR THIN STRAPS). In hot weather, short sleeve t-shirts are preferred.

  All clothing should be loose fitting (NO TIGHT KNITS OR SPANDEX)

  Shoes with toes and heels covered are a must. (NO SANDALS, FLIP-FLOPS OR HIGH HEELS). Spills happen and we don’t want anyone to get burned by hot food.

  Long hair must be pulled back in a clip or band.

  Due to health regulations, you will be asked to wear a plastic apron and latex gloves. You may bring your own apron in the style shown here if you like. If you are plating food in the kitchen, you will have to wear a hat or hair net.

  Please do not bring backpacks, purses, or personal items as we have no place to store them.  Do not put your cell phones in your back pockets.

  Donations needed: plastic forks, sealed sandwich baggies, napkins, and paper towels.

  The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey ("HBA-NJ") will hold its General Membership and Nominations Meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Parker Ibrahim & Berg LLP, 270 Davidson Avenue, 5^th Floor, Somerset, New Jersey 08873.  Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Registration is free and open to all current and active members.

  In addition to discussing items of interest to the HBA-NJ, we will be accepting nominations for the following positions for the 2019-2020 Term: 

  • President-Elect
  • Northern Regional Vice President
  • Southern Regional Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Membership Secretary
  • Recording Secretary
  • Region 4 Trustee (Passaic County)
  • Region 5 Trustee (Morris, Sussex & Warren Counties)
  • Region 6 Trustee (Union County)
  • Region 7 Trustee (Mercer County)
  • Region 10 Trustee (Monmouth and Ocean Counties)
  • Trustee-At-Large (2 open positions)

  In order to participate in the nomination process, you must be a paid member in good standing before the meeting is called to Order.  Nominations may be accepted only by persons in attendance at the meeting, unless a waiver from the President is obtained at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting, in which case you must be available by phone to accept the nomination.  In order to vote in the election, you must be a paid Full Attorney Member in good standing as of September 30, 20189.  If you are not a paid member and would like to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election, please visit www.njhba.org.
